PARK POLICIES

We ask that all visitors to Look Park follow the policies listed below. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to a park ranger or call the office at 584-5457. Thank you.

1. The park is open daily from 7am to sunset seven days a week. Visitors should leave the park by
dark. There may be delays or closures due to inclement weather or private events. Please visit our
FB page or www.lookpark.org for updates.

2. Look Park has a carry in, carry out policy. There are no public trash receptacles in the Park. What
you tote in, you must tote out. Please pack discarded materials or any such other items out with
you as you prepare to leave. Please leave the park beautiful for others to enjoy.

3. Picnics, charcoal grilling as well as propane grills are allowed with a picnic permit issued by the
park. To obtain a picnic permit, you may call the main office, stop at the visitor center or obtain
one from a park ranger.

4. Alcoholic beverages are permitted on park premises to permitted picnic groups only. A park
alcohol permit is required for every group consuming alcohol at a site or pavilion. The park
DOES NOT allow kegs or glass containers of any kind on park grounds. Alcohol must remain at
permitted sites.

5. Blanket picnics for small groups up to four people are permitted in the park’s open spaces away
from rental sites and pavilions. There is no grilling, alcohol, or large coolers allowed at blanket
picnics. Blanket picnics are not allowed at the Pines Theater or Sanctuary.

6. Dogs and other pets must be leashed at all times for the safety of others. Leashes are not to
exceed 6 feet in length. It is your responsibility to clean up after your pet. Mutt mitts are available
around the park. Pets must be kept away from the wildlife center.

7. Please obey the park speed limit of 15 mph and comply with all requests from the rangers.

8. Please be respectful at all times of our other park visitors. Music must be kept at a low level and
appropriate in nature. Please be courteous.

9. The park does not allow solicitations of any form. Similarly, any postings or banners must be
approved by park officials.

10. To ensure that Look Park remains a safe and pleasant place for all visitors, the following activities and items are not allowed:

◆ Personal generators, metal detectors or drones
◆ Silly String, water balloons, pinatas or confetti
◆ Bounce houses, rock walls or anything that requires staking in the ground
◆ Feeding of animals including geese and squirrels
◆ Smoking and vaping per M.G.L. Ch.270
◆ Weapons of any kind, firearms or fireworks
◆ Overnight camping, fishing or hunting

Look Park is a private, nonprofit park. The park does not receive funding from any federal, state, or local taxes. All funds for the operation and maintenance of the park come from user fees, grants, and donations.
